Before starting this tutorial you will need to download Mary Dog's special Peanut Butter & Jelly tube and install it in your tube directory. You can do so now by clicking on the slice of bread below:


Peanut Butter & Jelly Tube

  1. Open a new image with a white background and 24 bit color. Add a white text using a wide type font. The font Mary used in this example is Bell Bottom. Leave the text selected.

  2. Now select the special Peanut Butter & Jelly tube and click into your text until you have the pattern you want. Leave the text selected.

  3. With the text still selected, add a bevel from effects or as Mary did, use the Eye Candy Outer Bevel.

  4. With the text still selected, add a drop shadow slightly to the right of the text. Again, Mary used Eye Candy for her shadow, but you can do the same with PSP.

  5. This is an optional step of adding any ornamentation you want to your text. Mary simply added the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich she was munching on!   Mary has made her Bread tube available in her tubes section. You may go back to the main page to obtain it!
