  1. Open the outline below in Animation Shop and export it to Paint Shop Pro.

  2. Right Click to save the color guide below to your hard drive.

  3. Magnify image to 800%. Set your Paint Brush settings to: Square, Size 1, Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity all at 100, and Step at 25. and draw over the outline as below using color #1 for the Lead Outline, color #3 for the Pencil Outline, color #5 for the Wood Outline, color #7 for the Eraser Holder Outline, and color #9 for the Eraser Outline.

  4. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Pencil, Flood Fill with color #4, Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Lead, Flood Fill with color #2, Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Wood, Flood Fill with color #6, Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Eraser, Flood Fill with color #10, Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Eraser Holder, Flood Fill with color #8. Your image should now look like this:

  5. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Pencil, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Shadow Color = #3, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 4. Your image should now look like this:

  6. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Eraser, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Shadow Color = #3, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 4 - Leave Selected - Adjust - Add Noise 5% Uniform as shown below:

  7. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Wood, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Shadow Color = #5, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 4 - Leave Selected - Adjust - Add Noise 5% Uniform as shown below:

  8. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Lead, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Shadow Color = #1, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 6 - Leave Selected - Adjust - Add Noise 5% Uniform as shown below:

  9. Reduce magnification back to original size of 100% and your finished image should now look like this:
