This is a very easy plate to make in PSP 7 or 8.

  1. Obtain the materials needed. Download the zip file by Clicking Here!

  2. Open the MD-Plate.pspimage into PSP 8.

  3. Make the Plate Base layer the active layer.

  4. Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Layer, and open Selection #1. Flood selection with white.

  5. Go to Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel, apply inner bevel with these settings: Bevel #11, Width 18, Smoothness 82, Depth 4, Ambience 0, Shininess 0, Color White, Angle 315, Intensity 36, Elevation 30.

  6. Make the Decoration Layer the active layer. *NOTE: The opacity of this layer is set at 50%.

  7. Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Layer, and open Selection #2.

  8. Open the platefill.jpg image which was included in the zip file and flood fill with this pattern.

  9. On The Same Layer, Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Layer, and open Selection #2B. Click on Edit - Clear.

  10. Make the Shadow Layer the active layer.

  11. Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Layer, and open Selection #3.

  12. Go to Effects - 3D - Drop Shadow, apply a drop shadow with these settings: V&H 0, Opacity 75, Blur 6.29, Color #202020.

  13. Merge all layers visible. This completes your Basic Plate. You can now tube it or add a new layer and add some further decorations to the plate if you wish. Below is a sample image of what Mary Dog's plate looked like after adding a tube decoration!
