  1. Obtain the materials needed. Download the zip file by Clicking Here! New Image 500 x 400 with a white background. Add a new layer and center text on the image using Bell Bottom font size 100. Select None.

  2. Using the Rectangular Selection Tool, draw a rectangular selection around just the top half of the first line of text. While holding down the shift key, make another rectangular selection around the top half of your second line of text.

  3. With the selection tool still active, click inside one of the rectangular selections to float the top selections of the text.

  4. Open both images supplied in the zip file and minimize them. Flood fill the top selection with the Stars Image.

  5. Select None, Repeat Steps 2 and 3, this time selecting the bottom parts of the text.

  6. Flood Fill the bottom selection with the Stripes Image.

  7. Make sure you are still on layer 2 - Selections - Select All - Selections Float - Selections Defloat.

  8. With the text totally selected now, Go to Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel and apply the Gel-like preset which comes with PSP 8, but change the light color to White.

  9. Selections - Select None. Go to Effects - 3D - Drop Shadow - Settings: Vertical and Horizontal -2 (minus 2), Opacity 100, Blur 5, Color Black. Repeat this Drop Shadow but change the Vertical and Horizontal values to 2. You are done!
