  1. Set your Paint Brush settings to: Square, Size 1, Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity all at 100, and Step at 25. and draw the outline as below using color #D97F55 for the pumpkin, color #6F7C6A for the leaves, and color #7F6D5F for the stem.

    I have provided a number representing the length of lines which are greater than 1 or 2 pixels in length accordingly next to that line:

  2. If you would rather just use my outline, open the outline below in Animation Shop and export it to Paint Shop Pro.

  3. Magnify image to 500% and make fills as follows: Pumpkin Fill = #E8AE95, Stem Fill = #9C8675, Leaf Fill = #BACBBF. Your image should now look like this:

  4. Use the Magic Wand to select inside all of the pumpkin, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Color = #D97F55, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 7. Leave selected - Adjust - Add Noise: 5% Uniform

  5. Use the Magic Wand to select inside both leaves, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Color = #6F7C6A, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 4. Leave selected - Adjust - Add Noise: 5% Uniform

  6. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the stem, Float Selection and apply following cutout: Color = #7F6D5F, Vertical and Horizontal = 0, Opacity = 100, Blur = 2. Your image should now look like this:

  7. Using color #6F7C6A draw in the leaf details as shown below:

  8. Reduce magnification back to original size of 100% and your finished image should now look like this:
