Obtain the materials needed. Download the zip file by Clicking Here! Open the MD-rosetut.pspimage file. Activate
the Background Layer and flood fill with white.
Activate the Outline Layer. Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Channel - and open the selection titled Outline. Flood
fill the selection with black - deselect.
Activate the Rose Flower Layer. Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Channel - and open the selection titled Rose Flower. Flood fill with
color #FF8080.
Staying on the same layer, Go to Selections - Invert. Go to Effects - 3D - Drop Shadow - Settings: V&H 5, Opacity 65, Blur 40, Color #800000.
Selections - Invert. Effects - Textures - Fine Leather - More Cracks Preset.
Leave area selected and activate the Flower 2 Layer - Flood fill with color #C00000. On the layer palette (Flower 2) change the Blend Mode to
Soft Light.
Activate the Leaves & Stem Layer - Go to Selections - Load from Alpha Channel - and open the selection titled Leaves & Stem. Flood fill with
color #7AAB59 - Apply the same Fine Leather preset. Selections - Select None.
Activate the Details Layer. Set foreground color to #2A4717 and turn off the background color. Use the draw tool with a solid line width of 1 to
draw lines on your leaves.
Same Layer - Use the Paint Brush to touch up any areas of demarcation on either the rose or the greenery.
Same Layer - Go To Adjust - Blur - Gausian Blur - Setting: 2.00.
Activate the Leaves & Stem Layer - Use the Darken & Lighten Brush to add shadows and highlights to your greenery.
Now do the same on both the Flowers 2 Layer and the Rose Flower Layer. Use Mary Dog's image at the top of the page as a guide as to
where you darken and lighten.
In the Layers Palette, delete the background layer. Now merge layers visible. Apply a Gausian Blur of 1.00.
Go To Image - Resize - Setting: 60%. Go to Adjust - Add Noise - 12% Uniform - Monochrome Checked. You may now tube your image or follow the optional step which follows.
Optional: Make a new layer to Add Text to your image as Mary Dog did in her image at the top of the page. Make the text as a Vector so you can rotate it into
the position you want. Once you have the text placed where you want it, go to Layers - Convert to Raster. Merge Layers Visible and tube the final result. If you used your name
as the text, you could use this image as a Signature Tag.
