  1. Right Click to save the color guide below to your hard drive.

  2. New Image - Transparent - 100 x 100 pixels - Magnify to 800%.

  3. Set your Paint Brush settings to: Square, Size 1, Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity all at 100, and Step at 25; and using the guide below draw the Bear outline with Color #1.


    Any line over 2 pixels in length has been labeled accordingly.

  4. Draw in the Eyes & Nose with Colors #4, 5, and 6 as shown on the closeup below:

  5. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Head, Outer Ears & Body and Flood Fill with Color #2.

  6. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Inner Ears & Muzzle and Flood Fill with Color #3.  Your image should now look like this:

  7. Use the Magic Wand to select inside Both Outer Ears - Float Selection - Apply Cutout - Settings: V = 1, H = -1, Opacity 100%, Blur 2, Color #1.

  8. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Head - Float Selection - Apply Cutout - Settings: V = 1, H = -1, Opacity 100%, Blur 4, Color #1 - Repeat Cutout changing the Vertical to -1 and the horizontal to 1.

  9. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Body - Float Selection - Apply Cutout - Settings: V = 1, H = -1, Opacity 100%, Blur 8, Color #1 - Repeat Cutout changing the Vertical to -1 and the horizontal to 1.

  10. Use the Magic Wand to select inside the Muzzle - Float Selection - Apply Cutout - Settings: V = 1, H = -1, Opacity 100%, Blur 3, Color #1.   Your image should now look like this:

  11. Reduce magnification back to original size of 100% and your finished image should now look like this:
