  1. Obtain the materials needed. Download the zip file by Clicking Here! Included in the zip file is the required font and the strawberry fill pattern.

  2. Let's get started by making a New Image 600 x 200 with a transparent background.

  3. Create a new raster layer and name it background. Flood fill with the color white.

  4. Create a new raster layer and name it text. Apply text using the Casual Font. Settings: Foreground Color #008000, Turn Off the Background Color, Font Size 48, Stroke Size 2, Alignment - Center, Line Style - Barbed Wire. Deselect.

  5. Select inside all of the text area with the Magic Wand using these settings: Mode - Add (shift), Match Mode - RGB Value, Tolerance 40, Feather 0, Antialias Checked, Outside. Make sure all of the text area on the inside is selected.

  6. Selection - Modify - Expand by 1 pixel.

  7. Create a new raster layer and name it strawberry fill. Flood fill the selection with the pattern provided, md-strawberry-tile.jpg with the angle set at 0 and the scale at 75. Deselect. Go to Layers - Arrange - Move Down.

  8. In your Layers Palette click on the layer named text to make it active. Selections - Select All, Selections - Float, Go to Effects - Texture - Soft Plastic and use these settings: Blur 15, Detail 10, Density 128, Angle 201, Color #808080.

  9. In your Layers Palette hide the layer view on the layer named background by clicking on the eye. With the text layer as the active layer, go to Layers - Merge - Merge Visible.

  10. In your Layers click on the layer named merged to activate it. Go to Effects - 3D - Drop Shadow - Settings: Vertical 2, Horizontal 4, Opacity 66, Blur 1, Color Black. Apply Drop Shadow.

  11. You may now merge all layers. If you want a different background color than white be sure to change that color on the background layer before merging.
